That’s why, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear mismatched, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
First, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, attacking Thimble, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.
The traitor then settled his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
